Platform Management Tools
This section of the online help is dedicated to tools and functionality that are used to manage the LearnShare platform. These tools often cross over multiple levels of functionality. The following platform management tools are described in this section:
- Evaluation Tool - This tool enables you to create Level 1 and Level 3 evaluations to help measure the impact and effectiveness of learning experiences.
- Link Builder Wizard - This tool allows you to easily build links that are pre-formatted to display in specific parts of the LMS.
- Maintain Custom Text - This tool allows you to define how key elements of the system appear to users.
- Maintain Document Libraries - Document Libraries allow you to upload and organize documents, images, and videos that you may need to access across the LMS.
- Maintain Menu Items - This tool allows you to create navigation menu items in the sidebar menu of your LMS screens and allows you to customize which items will be visible to which users based on the audience and/or roles selected.
- Maintain Translations - This tool gives you the ability to enter customized translated text.
- Manage Videos - This tool allows you to embed videos throughout the LMS using the Rich Text/HTML editor.
- Plug-In Detection - This tool allows you to set plug-in detection for a course or a provider.
- Scheduled Processes - If it is configured in your system, this tool allows you to view information for scheduled processes in your organization.
- Set Up the Admin Console - This function allows you to set which Admin Console functions will be available to specific company roles.
- System Default Notifications - This feature allows you to manage any default notifications that are sent out from the LMS.
- Using Announcements - The announcements feature allows you to create and manage announcements that are to be displayed on the LMS home page.
- Using the Rich Text Editor - The Rich Text Editor appears in most places where text can be entered or customized. It provides many editing and design tools and allows for significant customization of elements of the LMS.
- The Email Queue - Viewing the email queue allows you to view and troubleshoot the status of email notifications. You can also send held emails and resend selected emails.
- Viewing Site Activity - This tool allows you to view activity in your system, such as total user access and total course sessions.
